Full Time Live In Nanny - Two Children - July Start - Kensington

Looking for a full-time live-in nanny to look after almost three-year-old boy and one-year old girl, Monday- Friday, with additional babysitting when required.
Start date – July 2022
Role profile
o Based in Kensington
o Core hours Monday-Friday 7.30-19.00, and one-night babysitting until 23.00
o Salary TBD based on experience
o 21 days holiday and 8 days bank holiday entitlement
o Additional pay for working out of core hours and/or baby sitting

Role description
o Day to day:
o working in the family home to take care of all the children's requirements including;
• pick up from nursery,
• cooking meals and feeding,
• cleaning up after the children,
• tidying up after the children,
• washing & ironing the children's clothes (there is also a cleaner for the household)
o taking the children out for fresh air each day
o making shopping lists for the children's food / going to the shops to buy food for them

o Childrens' education: helping with any homework, organising educational activities

o Childrens' extra-curricular activities: finding activities and taking the children to them e.g. baby gym, music classes
o Childrens' socialisation: organising play dates with other children from the school or play groups

o Other activities as and when required from time to time centred around the children e.g. taking the children to doctors' appointments
Person specification
You will be enthusiastic about children, patient, creative and kind.
• English speaking
• DBS check
• Early years' qualification or previous experience 3 years+ in a nursery or with another family with children of the same age
• First aid certificate – if not current, refresher course to be taken
• Right to work in the UK
• Drivers' licence would be an advantage but not essential

As well as providing for the physical and educational needs of the children, the nanny will be responsible for all nursery duties. This includes cooking, cleaning and laundry for the children within their care. Typical duties include:
• physical care of the child
• supporting and providing activities for the holistic development of the child
• communicating with parents on all aspects of the care of the child
• completing nanny documentation in order to keep parents informed about their child's care, wellbeing and development
• providing well-balanced and nutritious meals appropriate to the needs of the child
• taking the child to playgroup/nursery/school
• taking the child on outings appropriate to their age and stage of development
• taking the child on play dates or arranging these in the family home (prior approval from the employer must be sought)
• preparing for special occasions, such as birthday parties
• caring for the child when they are unwell, which may include administering medicine and taking them to the doctor if necessary and with the consent of parents
• travelling with the child and preparing for holidays, weekend visits, etc.
• cleaning and tidying the nursery, bedroom, playroom and other areas as agreed with parents
• cleaning, laundering and mending the child's clothes and toys
• being responsible for all equipment related to the care of the child, including the cleaning and maintenance of items such as sterilisers, buggies, car seats, etc.
• taking responsibility for the nanny purse and making sound judgements when purchasing items from the nanny purse, as well as obtaining a receipt and providing a fully detailed list of weekly expenses
• cleaning and tidying the accommodation provided for the nanny
