The Family

A lovely family based in Kensal Rise is looking for a warm, nurturing and highly organised nanny to join their household from November.

The family have two children, a baby aged 9.5 months and a 5-year-old, and both parents work busy professional roles. They are looking for someone who can confidently take sole charge of the children and become a trusted, consistent and caring presence in their lives.

The area is fantastic for families, with plenty of parks, activities, classes, playgrounds and local amenities nearby, so the nanny will have lots of opportunities to get out and about with the children.

The Role

This is a sole-charge position where you will be responsible for the children's day-to-day care, ensuring they are happy, well cared for and engaged throughout the day.

The ideal nanny will be:

• Warm, nurturing and affectionate, with a genuine passion for childcare

• Emotionally intelligent, able to understand and respond sensitively to the children's individual needs and feelings

• Organised and reliable, with good initiative and the ability to manage a busy day independently

• Confident caring for both a baby and a school-aged child

• Happy to plan and organise age-appropriate activities, outings and play

• Comfortable preparing fresh, balanced and nutritious meals for the children

• Proactive about getting the children outdoors and making the most of the fantastic local area

• Someone who will create a calm, positive and stimulating environment for the children

• A good communicator who can work collaboratively with busy working parents

• Happy to help maintain the children's routines and keep their spaces organised

The family are looking for someone who will really become part of their household and build a long-term, trusting relationship with the children.

The Children

Baby – 9.5 months:
The baby will require attentive, nurturing care, with age-appropriate play, activities, outings, meals and support with their daily routine.

5-year-old:
The older child will need a fun, engaging nanny who can provide plenty of stimulation, activities and outdoor time, while also supporting their independence and emotional development.

The Household

The family have two friendly cats, so the successful candidate should be comfortable around pets.

A driving licence is not required, as the local area has plenty to offer and is well suited to getting around on foot and by public transport.

The Ideal Candidate

The family are looking for someone who is kind, dependable, emotionally intelligent and genuinely invested in childcare. Someone who brings energy and warmth to the role, but who can also provide structure, consistency and calm.

This would suit an experienced nanny who is confident working in a sole-charge capacity and is looking for a lovely family where they can build a strong, long-term relationship.
