Nanny Required – Hammersmith (Long-Term Role)

A warm and welcoming family based in Hammersmith are seeking an experienced, proactive and nurturing nanny to care for their two children—a 6 month old and a 3-year-old. This is a long-term, sole-charge position for someone looking to grow with a family and become a valued part of their day-to-day life.

Start Date: June
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm
Additional: One night babysit per week

The Role

This is a hands-on position requiring a confident nanny with experience across both newborn and toddler stages. The ideal candidate will be developmentally focused, supporting both children’s growth through engaging, age-appropriate activities, while also creating a calm, structured and happy home environment.

The family are looking for someone who can seamlessly “make the machine tick”—taking initiative, staying one step ahead, and working in partnership with the parents to ensure the household runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Full care of both children, supporting their individual routines and developmental needs
• Baby care including feeding, settling and establishing gentle routines
• Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities for the 3-year-old
• Preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the children (and family cooking would be a bonus)
• Nursery duties including children’s laundry, tidying play areas and keeping spaces organised
• Taking the children out to classes, parks and local activities
• Supporting a positive, communicative and collaborative relationship with the parents

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced with both newborns and toddlers
• Warm, kind and genuinely passionate about working with children
• A strong communicator who values working in partnership with parents
• Proactive, organised and a self-starter with a “muck in” attitude
• Engaging, social and enjoys getting out and about with children
• Confident in the kitchen and enjoys cooking
• Looking for a long-term position and to grow with a family

Additional Information

• Driving is not required, but a bonus
• Travel is not required, though flexibility would be appreciated
• Hammersmith-based role
