Part-time Nanny (West Acton, W3 9LU) — Starting ASAP / flexible for right person

About the role
- Caring for a happy, playful 10-month-old (shared care with mum; mum is at home).
- Hours: 10/11am–6/7pm, three days per week or afternoons 3-4 days per week (12/1pm - 6/7pm)
- Location: West Acton (W3 9LU). No travel required; parking available if you drive.
- Start: ASAP preferred but flexible to find the right match.
- Pay: £20–25 gross per hour, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities
- Full nursery duties and day-to-day care (feeding, napping, nappy changes, soothing, dressing, washing up).
- Provide a warm, nurturing, playful environment.
- Follow a Montessori-style approach with a focus on developmental and educational activities (age-appropriate play, sensory activities, language development).
- Read aloud, sing, and incorporate music and rhythm into the day.
- Take the child to swimming sessions (parent will discuss schedule).
- Be proactive, easy-going, and able to adapt to family routines.
- Work cooperatively with mum; open to developing a nanny-share arrangement exposing the child to other children.

Person specification
- Naturally warm, energetic, and playful with young children.
- Focused on development/education rather than strict routines.
- Comfortable with music, singing, and reading regularly to the child.
- Happy to take the baby swimming.
- DBS check and paediatric First Aid required — or willing to obtain them promptly.
- No pets in the household.
- No driving qualification required.

Desirable
- Experience with Montessori principles or similar child-led educational approaches.
- Previous nanny or early-years experience caring for infants (references required).
- Open to transitioning from another role into a nanny share.
