Lovely Full Time Nanny Needed - Two Children - June/July Start

About this job

Job title: Full-time Nanny (London — N22, near Palmers Green / Alexandra Palace)

Start date: June/July 2026 (youngest child will be ~11 months at start). Parent returns from maternity leave June/July (TBC).

Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:30pm

Location: Family home near N22 7XA. School pick-up: local school in Highgate (approx. 10–15 minute drive from home). Candidate ideally lives locally / short commute.

Children:
- Older child — 4 years in March. Energetic, curious, loves chatting and exploring how things work.
- Younger child — infant (will be ~11 months at start). Parents do not plan nursery for the foreseeable future.

Key responsibilities:
- Full caregiving for the younger child during the day: feeding, napping, developmental activities, routines, bathing.
- School run / collection for the older child (school finishes ~3:00pm) and after-school care on designated days.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate play, learning and early developmental activities for both children; encourage language, curiosity and independence.
- Prepare healthy meals for the children; batch-cook staples; encourage family mealtimes and conversation.
- Regular local outings (parks, toddler groups, activities) and home-based play (crafts, reading, messy play) — balance of trips out and in-home engagement.
- Maintain a safe, tidy environment; basic housekeeping related to children (washing bottles, children’s laundry, tidying play areas).
- Good communication with parents (daily updates, development notes).
- Occasional babysitting desirable (candidate open to evening babysitting).

Desirable/essential skills & experience:
- Proven nanny experience with infants and preschoolers; strong references.
- Experience supporting developmental milestones and early education activities.
- Confident with school runs; driver preferred (family car available) — public transport acceptable but driver ideal.
- First Aid and Paediatric CPR (or willingness to obtain quickly).
- Comfortable cooking healthy meals for children; able to batch-cook.
- Reliable, punctual, non-smoker; good communicator; warm, nurturing, patient.
- Local candidates preferred to minimize commute. Willingness to occasionally babysit an advantage.

Compensation:
- Hourly rate: £20–£22 per.

To apply:
Please send CV, recent references, confirmation of right to work in the UK, and a short cover note outlining relevant experience with infants/preschoolers and whether you can drive/are open to babysitting. Include available start date.
