Fantastic Full Time Nanny Role - Two Children - N22 - June/July Start - TBC

About this job

Location

Near Alexandra Palace Station, N22 7XA (North London)
School is in Highgate (approx. 10–15 minutes by car)

Start Date

June or July, when mum returns to work.

Schedule

5 days per week (Monday–Friday)
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm = 45 hours per week

Mum is currently on maternity leave and is planning to return to work in early summer (June/July – TBC). She anticipates returning 4 days per week initially, but the family is seeking a nanny for 5 days per week.

Children

  • 4 year old (turning 4 in March)

    • Attends school, finishes at 3:00pm

  • 11 month old (will be this age when role starts)

    • Will be cared for at home (no nursery planned in the near term)

Role Overview

A warm, proactive nanny is sought to provide loving care for two boys, with the majority of the day spent with the baby and after-school care for the older child. The role includes all school runs and planning a balance of outings and engaging home-based activities. The family would love someone who is genuinely invested in children’s development and enjoys being hands-on—especially with crafts, play, and conversation.

Key Responsibilities

(main daytime focus):

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care and support key developmental milestones

  • Plan age-appropriate activities (sensory play, music, baby groups, outdoor time)

  • Support feeding routines and prepare healthy meals (family values nutrition)

  • Maintain a calm, loving routine throughout the day

(after school and holidays):

  • School pick-up at 3pm (Highgate)

  • Create engaging afternoons: creative play, crafts, exploration, parks, and conversation

  • Support curiosity and learning through play—Zebby is energetic, inquisitive, and loves chatting and understanding how things work

General:

  • All nursery/school runs and outings

  • Prepare healthy meals; family likes batch cooking and prioritises shared mealtimes

  • Child-related housekeeping (keeping play areas tidy, children’s laundry, organising toys/activities)

  • Supporting positive family values around dinner-table conversation and routine

What the Family Is Looking For

The ideal nanny is:

  • Experienced with both babies and preschool/early school age

  • Confident supporting developmental stages, especially for Joseph

  • Warm, calm, and affectionate, with a genuine love of caring for children

  • Creative and hands-on — someone who enjoys doing crafts and activities at home, not only outsourcing to outings

  • Proactive, organised, and confident planning the day

  • Aligned with the family’s focus on healthy meals and family-style dining routines

  • Ideally lives relatively nearby (the family would prefer no long commute)

Driving

A driver is strongly preferred, due to the school run being easier by car (approx. 10–15 minutes drive).
Public transport is possible, but a confident driver would be ideal.

Additional Details

  • No pets

  • No travel required

  • The family would love someone open to occasional babysitting, though this is not a regular expectation.

Salary

Family to confirm, but discussed range: £20–£22 gross per hour (depending on experience)
